Registered with the Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the organization endeavors to promote inclusivity and pluralism, transparency and access to information, freedom of expression and media development, and the rule of law and access to justice.

The Institute for Research, Advocacy, and Development is contributing to the efforts of achieving SDGs in Pakistan. Our particular focus is on SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goal), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions), SDG 13 (Climate Action), SDG 10 (Reduce Inequalities), and SDG 5 (Gender Equality).

The Institute for Research, Advocacy, and Development has conducted research, advocacy, and capacity-building for various public and private sector organizations, including training for over 5,000 persons across urban and rural regions of Pakistan on the issues of media freedom, access to information, investigative journalism, journalists’ safety, online freedoms, diversity and pluralism in media, labor rights, gender equality, electoral reforms, legal and legislative reforms, and human rights.

Our mission is to strengthen: democracy through inclusivity and pluralism; justice through fundamental rights; governance through transparency and accountability; and local empowerment through devolution and decentralization in the digital age.

We envision a democratic, inclusive, and informed polity by fostering the rule of law, civil liberties, and human rights in Pakistan.
